This mask represents the changes in shopping, entertainment, and commerce during the pandemic. During this past year, online shopping has been a comfort to many and a necessity for others. Also, the experience of getting most of our entertainment online has also grown. This has turned Amazon into a cultural way of life. This mask was made from the Amazon shipping boxes that I ordered through out my COVID experience. I selected pieces of cardboard that show some of the ways Amazon has infiltrated our lives. I also arranged individual letters and partial words in such a way that the mask resembles a cut out ransom note, suggesting the trapped feelings many of us have felt during this strange time.
